Dr. Neil Mathur - Senior TreasurerNeil has been with the club since 1996, and does the Sunday morning run more often than not. He has run one or two marathons (right), but feels his greatest achievement was to meet the inaugural 100 point challenge on September Training Camp 2003. He is a University Lecturer in Materials Science, and a Senior Research Fellow at Churchill College where he did his degree and PhD in Physics. His research group studies exotic magnetic and electronic materials using thin films and devices. It keeps him quite busy but the reason why he recently retired from training camps was to spend more time with his family (left). |

Ben Hope - Vice PresidentBen Hope has been in the club since 2001, running in the Blues race in each of the four years 2002-2005. He was Honorary Secretary in 2003-04 and Club Captain in 2004-05 at the end of which he was made a Vice President. Although he was first scorer for Cambridge in the Blues race of 2004 and 15th in BUSA in 2003, his best races to date were run in his teens, which was a long time ago by all accounts. He is currently writing up his PhD in theoretical nanoscience, more specifically on the electronic properties of cobalt nanowires and carbon nanotubes. Both the exact finishing date and where he's going next remain a mystery. |
